Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before. A good saying to live by.
People who know me, know that I love to travel. I haven’t been to many places yet, but I enjoyed every minute of the trips that I did make.
I am convinced travelling makes you a better person. It broadens your horizon and you can learn so much. From the local culture and people, but also from other travellers you will meet. Every time when I have set foot outside of my country, a small part deep inside of me changed a little bit.
I’ve been to Ecuador five times. Once to visit my father who was working there, once for a five months internship and three times for holidays – yes, I had a boyfriend. I’ve been to New York. Yeah okay, it was only for one hour, but still. While waiting six hours for my transfer, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to smell the air and watch the impressive buildings in the Big Apple. And to buy an I love New York hoodie – ofcourse.
Budget travelling
What I love the most, are budget trips. Flying lowcost – like 24 euro, return ticket – and staying with friends in Sweden for example. Grabbing the Eurolines bus to London for only 18 euro. Last minute vacations, or even better. Lifting and couchsurfing! The last one gives the opportunity to meet interesting people – and maybe even make some new friends for life.
On my wishlist – yeah, I have a travel wishlist, the most important wishlists of all – there are still a lot of countries and continents. I’ll show you the highlights, but I’m pretty much in for everything.

But for the moment, I will enjoy living and working in France. I think maybe one of the first wishes I added on my travel wishlist, as a young, little girl, looking up to my aunt who moved to France when she was twenty. I can see why, life is pretty good out here.
And in my spare time, I will make sure that I visit at least one new place, once a year. Well, okay. Maybe even more than one.
So, which kind of travel are you dreaming of? Which kind of countries do you have on your wishlist?
